Dear Ro,
Forgive me if you can for not writing sooner. I have been very busy the last week with my new job. I now work at Sears as a clerical worker. It's a pleasant job and very neat. I was filling orders last week and got writers' cramp. My arm felt very stiff and I had to massage it.
In one of your previous letters you asked if I saved dolls. I don't, but I must admit I have a weakness for them even at my age. I wonder what made you think I did.
We have been going to the beach every Sunday and we took some pictures, so I'll send you one if they come out good. I had a bad sunburn and I was uncomfortable for a few days.
I imagine it was quite thrilling to hear the concert stars, which you mentioned in your letter. I love good music. My favorites range from Victor Herbert to Strauss. I never liked jazz and I guess I'll never will.
I wrote in for some information about the Nurse Cadet Corps and received it a few days ago. I'd like to go to Wesley Memorial or to the University of Michigan for my training. It's a wonderful opportunity, I only hope I can take advantage of it.
I usually have fifteen minutes left from my lunch hour everyday, so I'll try and write again very soon. I have four more letters to write tonite, you see I just let all my mail pile up on me.
