Dear Aunty Clara,
Monday
I re-wrote Anita's letter this evening and I believe that is all I will do at this writing because I wouldn't be able to or wouldn't want to flood the censor with more mail than I am already handling this evening. In my checking of letters to be answered I find the label from the box of candy sent to me by Dolores and Eleanor. My policy is to keep only unanswered items in this file. Did I send thank you notes to both of them or didn't I? It appears that either I ought to make triplicate copies of my letters or make carbon copies of yours so that I have some sort of definite check on those things. I really should have noted every present down in a book and then checked off whether or not I thanked the people for them.
Here is my list as near as I can recall.
1box of candy from Dolores and EleanorThanked or unthanked? 1can of peanuts from AnitaThanked 1can of nuts from Mary Unthanked 1can of nuts from Aunt-Aunt Unthanked 1Daily News from Uncle JackThanked 1Reader's Digest from Klicks Unthanked 1Assorted gifts from Rose Unthanked 1can of peanuts and fudge from Millers Unthanked 1fruit cake, jelly and candy from Michalaks Unthanked 1box Mrs Snyder's candies from Reeds Unthanked 1package of 6 books from BernettsThanked 1book from you and AFThanked 1Xmas cards and Atlas from youThanked 1Flashlight and tooth powder from youThanked 1Cribbage set from the Bradleys Unthanked 1Package from the Victory ClubThanked 1Fruit cake from Mrs BoyerThanked
