Dear Aunty Clara,

Blue Monday

This is just a rush note to let you know that I would like you to buy for me, out of my money of course, a couple boxes of Christmas cards and mail them to me. You needn't be afraid of sending too many because I think I can get rid of the extra ones easily enough. I've given up any idea of ever finding time to draw individual cards as originally planned.

By the way, Jack Molyneaux mentioned to me that he would like to have you include a few religious ones in the bunch; for he is going to go ahead with the plan of drawing them and he could copy from them. Or maybe I could even give him the religious ones because I certainly wouldn't use them.

The reason Jack wants to copy the ones I get is because any other ones he could get ahold of might come from Norristown way and his wife and friends would have some different kinds. He plans to copy quite a few of the ones you send me so try to pick out some simple ones for the express purpose.

At rough guess I think I can use anywheres from two to three dozen cards. I believe last year I sent out 30 cards. I have the list of cards I sent and received somewheres in among my correspondence.

So-long,
/s/ Roman
